One of Denmark’s leading cultural foundations, distributing €61 million in 2025 for cultural heritage, performing arts and humanitarian initiatives.

02 Lundbeck Fonden

Allocated DKK 1.074 billion in 2024 for biomedical and neuroscience research, with a strategic goal to make Denmark a global leader in brain science.

03 KR Foundation

Copenhagen-based, focused exclusively on tackling the root causes of climate change through sustainable behaviour and sustainable finance programmes. Awarded approximately €18 million in 2021.

04 Oak Foundation

Headquartered in Geneva with a dedicated Denmark office, supporting social justice including homelessness, women’s empowerment, violence prevention, and migrant support in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

05 Tara Ocean Foundation

Founded in 2003 by fashion designer Agnès Troublé and her son Etienne Bourgois, the Tara Ocean Foundation is built around a research schooner that acts as a floating scientific laboratory. Its mission is to observe and study the impact of climate change on ocean ecosystems.
